TCU’s Damion Baugh is appealing an NCAA suspension for an undetermined amount of games during the upcoming season due to the fact that Baugh signed with a non-certified agent last spring during the NBA pre-draft process, his mother Samantha Baugh told College Hoops Today on Tuesday.
Samantha Baugh said that her son retained an agent for “a matter of days” and did not participate in any NBA workouts, receive any benefits, or accept any travel.
“It wasn’t a long time,” Samantha Baugh said regarding the period that Damion Baugh had retained an agent. “He didn’t take anything. It was a difficult time and it was just a time where a kid was just trying to help his family. Damion wanted to figure out how to help us. He has a daughter. But in the end, school is where he wanted to be.”
The 6-4 guard averaged 10.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists last season as a starter for the Horned Frogs.
TCU is currently ranked 10th in the ROTHSTEIN 45.
