The Sanford Pentagon in South Dakota will host the 2020 Battle 4 Atlantis, according to multiple sources with knowledge to the situation.
The official dates of the event will be decided after the NCAA announces college basketball’s official start date following Wednesday’s Division 1 Council meeting.
A separate source said that the Sanford Pentagon will be able to accommodate a limited number of fans for the event with social distancing protocols in place.
The field for the 2020 Battle 4 Atlantis includes Duke, Ohio State, Memphis, West Virginia, Creighton, Texas A&M, Wichita State, and Utah.
Five of those teams — Duke, Creighton, West Virginia, Ohio State, and Memphis — are currently ranked in the ROTHSTEIN 45.
CBSSports.com first reported that the Sanford Pentagon was a potential candidate to host the event last week.
